Chad Price is the CEO of Mako Medical, a global medical device company that designs and manufactures products for minimally invasive surgery. Chad helped found Mako in 2004 and has been working there ever since. After studying Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, he was an engineer for Mako before becoming Vice President of Operations in 2007. In 2010, he was promoted to his current role as CEO of the company. Chad is a Biomedical Engineer who has successfully transitioned from engineering to business management. He values his family and friends, as well as golfing, skiing, and scuba diving. Chad has spent over 20 years in the biomedical industry with Bioprocess International Limited (1995-2013) and Mako Medical Corporation (2004-Present). He was responsible for business development, product management, and sales (to over 50 countries). Chad has served on the Board of Directors for Bioprocess International Limited since 2000. He is also a member of the Advisory Boards for BiotechNZ and Duke University School of Engineering. Chad Price was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Science from his undergraduate Alma Mater, Duke University, in 2009.
Chad Price is focusing on improving Mako Medical’s customer service, marketing, and employee retention and developing a culture where people feel like they are part of something important. The company has already made some changes, such as increasing their use of social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to connect with customers interactively.
