Marwan Salim Kheireddine, Lebanese Banker and Chairman of AM Bank.

Marwan Salim Kheireddine serves as an Independent Director at ABN AMRO Holding N.V. effective December 15, 2014. He is also serving as a member of the board of directors at Dubai-based financial conglomerate Arab Banking Corporation, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Dubai Holding Company and Yebna Holding Group, among other positions he holds in numerous Lebanese banks and financial institutions he is involved in.

Mr. Kheireddine was born in Beirut and started his career at the age of eighteen in a Lebanese bank. Over the years, he held many positions within the Lebanese banking sector including serving as CEO and Chairman. In 2006, he was appointed chairman of Lebanon’s Central Bank. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of several banks in Lebanon with AM Bank which he founded, being one of them.

Mr. Kheireddine is also a member of the Board of Directors at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), the Abu Dhabi-based Sovereign Wealth Fund, Dubai Holding Group, the Dubai-based holding company; Emirates NBD, Union Properties PJSC and developer and operator of numerous real estate projects in that region; International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), the Abu Dhabi-based investment company; and Bank Audi, one of Lebanon’s top banks.

Mr. Kheireddine has a BA from American University in Beirut and also holds an MBA from Moscow State University in Russia where he was sent for training by his bank. Mr. Kheireddine also holds a JD from Beirut University’s Faculty of Law.

Marwan Salim Kheireddine is married to Katrina Kheireddine and has four daughters.

Interested in real estate, Mr. Kheireddine has been involved in many projects awarded by multiple real estate developers within Lebanon and the Middle East. These include: Al-Tayar Tower in Beirut, Hamdan El-Alam complex in Jounieh, Beirut Souks ’08 project for Ramtaha Group; The Irvine projectat Foa’a Bay (Jerash) for Saad Hariri & Cdr.
