I was rarely prepared for any of the chapters I’ve lived—yet always hungry for the adventure. At some point, success quietly arrived. And with it, a different kind of uncertainty.

My dream is to  create a space to hold those conversations—the obstacles that arrive with  high levels of achievement. The self doubt, alienation, isolation, betrayal, grief and confusion.  Pair that with beautiful home decor and stunning outfits and  well —that's pretty much  who I am and what you'll find here!

 Deep truths and gorgeous aesthetics.

Former fashion journalist, independent reporter at the United Nations, and Google ambassador—now, a heartfelt storyteller.

Hi, I'm Ellese

a lil bit of my story

I spent over a decade covering New York Fashion Week, front and back of house with brands such as Mercedes Benz Maybach, Maybelline, Aveda, Stila, GCDS, Tibi, Christian Cowan, AKNVAS, Gola, and more.

the Highs & Lows

It’s almost ironic to me that I’m a writer, after being diagnosed with dyslexia in kindergarten. However, the moment I began writing about fashion, I knew I had found my corner of the industry.

I began in production for a menswear brand, then moved into styling before finding my way into writing. In the late 2010s, I built a website from scratch that garnered the attention of Google, the United Nations, Sephora, Skagen, NYFW, New York Times Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, Hearst Magazines, and more. I was invited—and flown—around the world: Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, dinners in Florence, press days in Berlin. I was living the dream, but my personal life was quietly falling apart at the seams.

I had no idea the kind of betrayal—and confusion—that can come with that level of success. I’m grateful to understand it now, and more than anything, I’m willing to speak about it—for any other woman walking through it currently.
